Energex Pellet Fuel, Inc. currently operates
two wood pellet plants in North America with a combined annual capacity
of over 200,000 tons.
Using a state-of-the-art process control system,
automatic packaging facility, and environmental controls, the Energex
plants have the capacity to bag over 800 tons per day and hold thousands of
tons in inventory to service peak demand periods.
|
Energex Pellet Fuel, Inc. began
operations in 1993 after acquiring
the Lac-Mégantic plant that had started in 1982 as a producer of industrial
wood pellets. After
purchasing of the plant, Energex added a packaging facility to bag premium
grade wood pellet fuel and completed a total renovation, rehabilitation,
and modernization of the plant facility so that it is now the largest wood
pellet plan in North America.
In 2000, Energex merged a West Virginia pellet plant with
another in Mifflintown, Pennsylvania, and created Energex American, Inc., now the
premier supplier of pellets in the mid-Atlantic region.

"Some companies talk it, and some
companies make it happen. Quality, it's there. Service, it's there.
Availability, it's there. My customers have enjoyed using Energex in
the past, and are requesting it for the next heating season."
Dave Yakuboff, All Basics Stove Shop, Merrimack, NH
